These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website and services provided by Barker HRS operating as The Job Scout (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By using our website or purchasing our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
The Job Scout provides resume writing, job application services, LinkedIn profile optimization, and interview coaching services. All services are described on our Services and Pricing pages. We reserve the right to modify our service offerings at any time.
2. Payment Terms
- All prices are listed in USD.
- Payment is required at the time of purchase via Stripe.
- You will receive an email receipt from Stripe upon successful payment.
- We do not store your credit card information — all payments are processed securely by Stripe.
3. Service Delivery
- Resume from Scratch: 5-7 business days
- Resume Optimization: 3-5 business days
- Blitz Packages: Ongoing, with weekly progress reports
- LinkedIn Services: 5-7 business days
- Interview Coaching: Scheduled at mutual convenience
Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary. We will communicate any delays promptly.
4. Intellectual Property
Upon full payment, you own all deliverables created for you (resumes, LinkedIn content, etc.). We retain the right to use anonymized examples of our work for marketing purposes unless you request otherwise in writing.
5. Your Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and truthful information for resume and application materials
- Respond to requests for information in a timely manner
- Review deliverables within the revision period
- Not use our services for any illegal or fraudulent purpose

7. Limitation of Liability
The Job Scout provides job search support services. We do not guarantee employment outcomes. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
8. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes will be submitted to binding arbitration under the rules of the applicable jurisdiction.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to refuse or terminate services if a client provides false information, engages in abusive behavior toward our team, or violates these Terms.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
